A new series of Alien Isolation screenshots have appeared online, showing off a very nice looking space trading station.
This game, which is set for release on current and next gen consoles, is a first person survival horror which features a single Xenomorph. These screens focus on the attention to detail on the game’s environments, as well as showing off the Xenomorph which will no doubt be the bane of your existence.
According to Creative Assembly, Alien Isolation will be the game “fans of the series have always wanted. Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable.”
While Alien: Colonial Marines has no doubt tainted the Alien franchise in the minds of gamers, I actually have some hope for this game. It does seem to be that Creative Assembly recognise that Alien is best when focusing on sneaking and surviving one single alien, rather than being a generic action space marine who can casually mow down tons of Xenomorphs. I look forward to seeing the full release, and I hope for a truly tense first person horror experience.
