There have been a fair amount of rumours surrounding the as-yet-unannounced RDNA 2 GPUs, the RX 6600 and RX 6600XT. Today, both of them have been spotted in driver listings by well-known leaker Komachi Ensaka.
AMD did state at their CES 2021 conference that a single fan GPU would be added to the RX 6000 graphics card stack, and it seems that these will be the RX 6600 and RX 6600XT. Both of these cards were spotted in AMD’s latest driver update, despite AMD’s efforts to hide them under the 73FF PC Device ID, which corresponds to a Navi 23 GPU.

AMD are currently using a Navi 23 GPU to power a mobile RDNA 2 offering, the RX 6600M, so we can expect Navi 23 to power both the RX 6600 and RX 6600XT, and the leak from Komachi also shows that the two cards will launch simultaneously. You may also recall that this isn’t the first time that we have heard that Navi 23 will be powering the RX 6600 XT and 6600, as there leaks on the Chiphell forum some time ago.
Very little is known about the exact specifications of either of these GPUs, other than Navi 23, but we do know thanks to previously EEC listing leaks that the RX 6600XT will feature 8GB of RAM.
Given that AMD did promise a reveal of more RDNA 2 graphics cards at CES, AMD will undoubtedly tell all at some point but with stock shortages and availability issues plaguing the GPU market, it may be some time before we get any official information.
