Batman Arkham Knight Delayed Until 2015 to Make “Best Possible Experience”
CrimsonRayne 3rd June 2014 0 CommentsThose eagerly awaiting the new Batman Arkham Knight will have to control their disappointment as the title is pushed back until next year, with Rocksteady citing the reason for the delay as making for the “best possible experience.”
During a press event with the Escapist Guy Perkins relayed the unfortunate news – but did say the reason was due the project being so ambitious.
“We just want to make the best experience we possibly can and we need more time to do that,” said Perkins. “I think what we’ve shown so far is a super ambitious project and we just want to make sure we are giving Batman fans and gamers the best Batman experience that we can possibly deliver and that just takes time.
“I think we would be doing fans a disservice if we didn’t spend the time on the title. We just want it to be really great.”
The new Batman title was originally heading for the Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4 later this year, and from the little snippets of gameplay and trailers we’ve seen so far it looks extremely impressive. As amazingly fun as previous titles were, one got the feeling the previous generation was indeed holding back the team. With Batman Arkham Knight this isn’t an issue, and the team are free to push it up to a whole new level. Just in case you’re one of the few who’ve not seen the trailer for the game as yet, find it below:
