DICE has finally revealed some details for it’s fourth upcoming DLC pack for Battlefield 3, which will be entitled “Aftermath”.
The DLC is expected to launch on this side of christmas (although there is no set in stone date just yet) and will apparently feature four new urban maps ‘”set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran”.
DICE is promising that the new maps will deliver “vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives”.
The pack is also going to contain some rather lovely new vehicles, “heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy”, as well as new achievements (gotta love them gamer points) and dogtags.
However, there is sadly no information as of yet about the new game mode included in the DLC. Still, I like the sound of “multiple paths to cover objectives”, and to be honest I hope some of that makes it through into the singleplayer. But we shall see.
