We finally have some information from EA about their upcoming expansion for Battlefield 3, Armored Kill.
Armored Kill is going to include four new maps, one of which is Bandar Desert – supposedly the biggest map yet in Battlefield history. There’s also going to be some new vehicles added in the expansion, which will include tanks, ATVs and mobile artillery. As well as this, there will be five more vehicle unlocks for the base game, more than 20 unlocks for the new vehicles being added and a new game mode.
This new mode is named Tank Superiority, which the Battlefield Blog explains it as a mode that will have tank pilots and infantry using “all their skills to control key points of the maps.”
Armored Kill was also apparently keep the amount of players capped at 24 on consoles, and also the new maps will be playable on all six of Battlefield 3 multiplayer game modes. The expansion is set to release in September and, like all other Battlefield 3 content, will be coming to PS3 one week early.
