An analyst from Strene Agee has predicted that EA will push back release of Battlefield 5 to 2016.
I can agree that with Battlefield Hardline being delayed from 2014 to early 2015, it would not give that long enough gap between the franchises. Having more time to develop Hardline, this will cause an extended window of production time for Battlefield 5. After last year’s fiasco I am sure the community will be happy to know that DICE are not developing the Battlefield 5, although others blame EA for the atrocious issues we were experiencing.
EA also have a Star Wars Battlefront release date to be announced, but EA said it was targeting a summer 2015 release for the working title.
I think it’s was very likely for EA to stall release until 2016, I certainly wouldn’t expect two Battlefield releases in the same year. Let’s hope this time and is put to good use and we don’t see a repeat performance.
