Developer The Behemoth has announced that the excellent Castle Crashers will be heading to Xbox One in a remastered form on September 9.
As an added bonus to those who already own the game on Xbox 360, it will initially be available for free via Xbox Live. The improvements will include higher resolution textures, a better framerate of 60 FPS, as well as numerous tweaks to gameplay and online performance. It will also come with a new mini-game, “Back Off Barbarian”.
Castle Crashes Remastered will cost you $14.99 on Xbox One, but as previously mentioned it will be free to owners of the Xbox 360 version until September 20, provided you have an Xbox Live subscription.
If you miss out on that, though, it doesn’t mean you’ll have to cough up the full price. Xbox 360 version owners will still get a discount on the remastered game. It will cost just $5 after this window has passed.
