Remember that Dark Souls board game? Well, it’s Kickstarter launched and smashed it’s £50,000 (or $71,000) goal in three minutes.
At the time of writing, it has reached £510,492, so it’s safe to day that the developers are very pleased with the reception to this idea.
The Dark Souls board game is looking pretty promising indeed, and very true to the beloved source material. It will be played with 1-4 players, with plenty of established Dark Souls character classes to choose from.
There is even a stamina bar in play which manages your manuevers. Also, you can expect bosses to change their attacks mid fight (something you’re probably becoming very familiar with if you’ve been playing DArk Souls 3) and health management via Estus flasks.
There is also an emphasis on positioning, and attacks will be limited to a series of nearby nodes.
If you want to reserve a copy, you can get one by backing for £80, or roughly $113. The Kickstarter is on until May 13.
