DarkStalkers was one of those fighting games that I loved. I remember back in the day I got my Sega Saturn modded with a switch to play imports, and paid to have a Japanese copy of DarkStalkers sent over to me (including the 4MB RAM cart). This was after drooling over screen shots and previews of the game in the official Sega Saturn Magazine (UK edition).
And now, over at Capcom-Unity there has been an announcement that Darkstalkers 3 has been finally release:
“The beautiful, bizarre, and legendary Darkstalkers 3 is now available on PSN as a PSOne Classic for $5.99. An absolute fan favorite, this game features lush 2D graphics, fast and wild gameplay, and one of the zaniest character rosters in fighting game history. This one’s a must-play for fighting game people.”
Fans are of course eagerly awaiting a sequel, and there are certainly rumors its happening. Perhaps Capcom are going to see how well this sells?
