If you too are addicted to Destiny like me, then you may be aware that the latest Crota’s End Raid can be completed easily within around 30-45 minutes with all the glitches or “cheese’s” that are floating around YouTube.
Since Bungie has taken some time off for the holidays, players have found numerous exploits with the raid to not only get through the in a strike-like time, but also the ability to complete the whole thing solo. This will be the reason behind the shocking one million completions of the Crota’s End raid in a month.
So looks like easy rewards may be a thing of the past with the next update looking to drop next week, with many fixes to make the raid less of a stroll in the park and to played as intended. Plus to add more challenge to the “fixes” is news of the near completion of the Hard Mode coming soon.
Although with all Destiny patches aimed at fixing these sorts of problems, we have learned that there will always be a work around and we will just have to wait (not long I am sure) until the next easy work around. So here is a list of what fixes you will see in next week’s patch with some other “Finally!” game updates:
Crota’s End – Updates
The existing Pit treasure chest reward moved to killing Ir Yut, the Deathsinger. She has a chance to drop Exotic weapons and armor, class pieces, and Radiant materials.
The Pit treasure chest will now contain Radiant Materials.
Comments: If you were unaware of the easy exotic chest within the raid, all you had to do was start Crota’s End raid and go to one of four hidden doors on the left hand side as you travel through the darkened area which a chest will randomly spawn. This chest includes either Exotic Shards or Exotic energy and has I believe around a 13% chance of obtaining an exotic. The obvious easy strategy for this would be to spawn, go straight to one of the doors (the easiest being the first one as no enemies will get you), then die, respawn & repeat until the chest randomly appears here. This can be obtained separately by all three characters and a better strategy is to have a friend stay alive near the revival point and allow you to swap characters. The chest will stay for 10 minutes.
Ir Yut the Deathsinger is one of the hardest sections within the raid and does not give any rewards. So what most people do is avoid this section altogether by either completing it first time with friends and then allow everyone to get the checkpoint so no one has to do it again, or you can just piggyback on someone else save point to avoid this altogether. Now it looks as if this section will now be worthwhile due to a possible exotic (moved from the first chest), shards, or armour now drop.
Pit Encounter
Removed the physics impulse caused by exploding lanterns.
Comments: One or two players could stand on a rock behind the second lantern and, upon explosion, the player(s) would be propelled to near the exit which would require activating the bridge and killing on ogre while stood upon a rock, thus finishing the level and allowing you to run to the next area.
Bridge Encounter
Players will now be required to cross the bridge in order to complete the bridge encounter.
Players will now be required to wait for the bridge to be completed prior to crossing with the sword.
Comments: by the wording of the above fix, I believe that most issues have not really been fixed, but will have to wait and see as it really doesn’t give an insight to what exactly they resolved. Bungie have a way of not describing some issues and just posting a “fixed” statement.
Deathsinger Encounter
Fixed a rare case where the Shriekers would not spawn, preventing players from reaching the Deathsinger.
Comments: Personally I have never seen this issue, but it is good that it has been fixed because this would be a very frustrating issue especially if you used heavy ammo synthesis.
Crota Encounter
Two Swordbearers will no longer spawn at the same time at the outset of the encounter.
Crota will now recover from his kneeling state after a player quits.
Fixed a bug that allowed players to remove the “Presence of Crota” using a Radiance Warlock’s Fireborn ability.
Fixed a bug that made the Oversoul appear destroyed to some players in a Fireteam when it was actually still active.
Comments: Good to see the double Swordbearer glitch has been fixed as this would help take Crota down to below half after just one round.
Disconnecting the fireteam leader from the raid as soon as Crota takes a knee to keep him in that permanent position with now shield, is now fixed.
There are many ways to recover health or even glitch the “Presence of Crota” that have not yet been fixed or amended, but this is a good start although if you have a good team and stick to decent strategy, only one person will need the chalice.
Oversoul glitches are a very annoying one as it can wipe out your entire team.
Vault of Glass – Updates
Exotic weapon drops in the Vault of Glass are now Level 32.
Comments: Yes, yes, yes, yes….yes! Finally! It is incredibly frustrating when you get exotics from the Vault of Glass (like I have done many times since the DLC) and got the older 300 attack weapon. Now you will finally get the 330 version. Does this mean the Vex Mythoclast with be bumped to 330? We will have to wait to find out.
Getting Swole in the Crucible
Asylum, The Anomaly, and The Burning Shrine maps will be added to existing Clash and Control playlist rotation.
Iron Banner will return, with updated rewards, running from January 13th through January 19th.
Full and final details for Raid, Crucible, and Iron Banner updates will be provided as patch notes next week.
After a few of these issues have been resolved, I think I may have to dive back into destiny more than normal and hopefully the Raid will be more fulfilling.
