Blizzard definitely seems to have a “go big or go home” attitude for a lot of their patches, and the Diablo 3 patch 2.3 is no exception.
The biggest thing this update brings to the table is Kanai’s Cube, which Diablo 2 fans will recognise as a nod towards Horadric Cube.
What this does, is let you customise your character to an even greater degree. Kanai’s Cube can be found in a brand new zone by the name of Ruins of Sescheron, which is the Barbarian couple that fell to the Baal way back in the days of Diablo 2.
The update also prepares the game for Season 4, which starts very soon – August 28. It adds Season Journeys, a brand new progression and reward system and new difficulty levels.
For those that favour Adventure Mode, the patch will make important changes there, and to the Greater Rift trials. As befits a Blizzard patch, it also brings a host of balance tweaks, with a focus on the Witch Doctor.
