Dust 514 Open Beta Incoming

CCP marketing man David Reid has released an official statement saying that Dust 514 is likely to go into open beta in early 2013.

Reid told Joystiq recently, “We’ll be in closed beta for the rest of the year. While determining the precise date for commencing open beta definitely will depend on player feedback, we’re feeling confident that it won’t be much longer after year end.”

Reid also did not disclose the amount of people currently in the closed beta, but he suggested that there were “hundreds of thousands of people” who were lured in by the tie in to the EVE universe.
