For a long while, the Xbox 360 was lacking one major feature: An internet browser. I’d always personally considered it a rather strange move: the developers of the worlds most used Internet Browser didn’t include it, or any other means to browse the net on a machine it’d championed to do everything you could want in your living room.
Now times are a changing.
The Xbox 360 iteration of the browser has undergone some changes, it’s being designed to be the first truly easy to use browser on a console, integrating well with Microsoft’s own rival to Google, Bing, as well as Kinect. Microsoft have always recently announced SmartGlass will be fully compatible with the XBox 360’s version of MSIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer).
There isn’t a specific release date available yet, but we do know that it’s due to land sometime in this fall.
