As pretty much all of the gaming world must know by now, yesterday Bethesda officially announced The Elder Scrolls Online, an MMO based in the Elder Scrolls universe. Now, they have given us a rather juicy trailer to enjoy.

As you can see, it doesn’t really do much other than set the scene, but it still does a pretty good job of making me psyched for the game, and I’m not even someone who is usually into MMOs.
Information is steadily coming in from Bethesda, who have said that the title will have the idea of “What happens when hundreds or thousands of prophesied heroes all think that they should be Emperor?”
The game will include three player factions. The Ebonhart Pact, which will encompass Nords, Dunmer and Aroganian races.
The Aldmeri Dominion, which will include the Bosmer, Khajiit and Altmer.
And finally, the Daggerfall Covenant, which will bring us the Bretons, Orcs, and Redguard.
Happily, The Dark Brotherhood guild will be making an appearance in the game, along with the Fighter’s, Mages and Theives Guild. Which, as I’m sure you will agree, is kind of awesome.
We also know that players will also be able to venture to Elsweyr and Summerset Isle, homes of the Khajiit and Altmer, respectively. The game will also be using the Hero Engine, which is the power under the hood of Bioware’s Star Wars: The Old Republic.
