Looks like another game added to that ever growing delay till 2015 list. News just broke that Turtle Rock Studios’ shooter Evolve has now been delayed to February 10, 2015.
Evolve is the third big game due for an October, 2014 release that has now been pushed back alongside Battlefield Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
I am glad to see another studio is delaying a title instead of delivering a huge pile of s**t on release day. Looks like many developers have come out and give honest feedback into the development process and have seen the need for extended time frames. Its also good to see that gamers enthusiasm is ever growing towards delayed games. Hopefully we will see less non-achievable release dates and more sensible time scales in the future.
I have said this before and I’ll say it again, delays can only mean good things. Yeah you have to wait that little bit longer for that game, but wouldn’t you rather have to wait a little longer for something more polished? I know I would!
Evolve is a new take on multiplayer first person shooters with a 4 vs 1 game mode where 4 humans are to stop a huge creature, controlled by another player, before it can proceed through its different stages of evolution, which makes it more powerful and harder to kill. Evolve is now coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in Feb, 2015. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
