Sega have finally released some details on the first playable faction for their upcoming Rome 2 Total War.
The first faction, which has been confirmed to be the Romans, is detailed in the new Total War wiki page, which will eventually feature maps including each faction’s starting point as well as information on each one’s strengths and weaknesses.
Sega has said, “Representing key powers within the Greco-Roman, Barbarian, and Eastern cultures, every faction features its own agents and political system, and three tech trees representing civic, military and engineering disciplines.
“Each will have its own dilemmas to face and different styles of army to manage. Certain factions – such as Rome – are split into a number of playable families, which bring further unique benefits to their base faction traits.”
There is no official release date set yet, only a vague time of late next year. However, it has been rumoured that the game will release in October.
