Scott Cawthon is no stranger to accusations of rushed development, and sadly his latest title FNAF World is feeling the sting.
You may have seen comments from Scott recently, apologising for missing features after the game was released on Steam a month early.
Now, following a flurry of complaints about the state of the game, Scott has decided to pull FNAF World from Steam.
He revealed this to his fans on an update to the Steam page, where he said, “Even though the game had a ‘Very Positive’ rating with 87 per cent, I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting. For that reason, I’ve decided to remove the game from Steam.”
However, Scott has promised that he will be giving refunds to anyone who purchased it. regardless of how long they played it.
This doesn’t mean that Five Night at Freddy’s World will be disappearing into the void forever, though. Scott has said that he will be working on polishing the title, and when it comes back it will be free.
“I’m still going to work on FNaF World and polish it up. I’m busy creating a fully 3D overworld for the game. When I’m ready to update the game, I will replace the demo currently on GameJolt with the full game. From this point forward, the game will always be free.”
