Microsoft has made the Gears of War Ultimate Edition so much more worth it in just one move.
How have they done that? Well, it’s simple. They made the annoucement that if you buy Gow Ultimate Edition, you get the entire Gears collection on Xbox One thanks to the magic of backwards compatibility.
There is a catch, of course. You have to play the Utimate Edition sometime between 25th August to 31st December 2015, and then you will get Gears 1, 2, 3 and Judgment on backwards compatibility as soon as the feature launches.
A pretty nice deal, I must say. This also pretty much confirms the entire Gears franchise for backwards compatibility, but there’s no surprise there. It was fairly obvious that Microsoft’s signature franchises would be made available on the feature.
