Sony has trotted out God of War a couple of times now at E3, first in 2016 and of course last year as well. But sadly, until now, they have kept it’s release date on the PS4 pretty close to the chest.
Not only have Sony finally revealed when Kratos and his amazing new beard will be making their debut on the Playstation 4 (not including the God of War 3 remake, obviously), we also have a brand new trailer with some new gameplay to enjoy within.
As you can see in the trailer above, the God of War will be hitting shelves on April 20th. A bit earlier than I expected, it must be said. But I am definitely looking forward to stepping into Kratos’s angry shoes again. The series definitely took a flaming nose dive with God of War 3, but the first two games remain in my personal favourite PS2 games.
Of course, this new outing for the GoW series is very different to the original trilogy, but in all honesty that might not be a bad thing. Whether or not it’s a good game remains to be seen, but the thought of Kratos + Norse mythology is definitely enough to get my hype receptors tingling.
