Rockstar has released a new patch which has unbroken the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, after the last patch to GTA Online caused framerate problems.
Rockstar also reminded everyone that this patch might effect singleplayer mods, after previous patches negatively impacted campaign modifications.
Their official statement regarding the patch is that they still aren’t actively targeting singleplayer mods, “nor are we explicitly implementing protections against them in-game. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. However, as a reminder, mods are still unauthorised and as such, Title Updates may cause Story Mode mods to behave in unexpected ways because they are not supported or tested, and players run them at their own risk.”
