We all knew it was coming. Hearthstone finally has it’s first real expansion pack (Naxxramas doesn’t really count) and unfortunately for us, it doesn’t add a Deathknight hero class to the game.
Interestingly enough, it was actually the first item to be revealed during BlizzCon 2014. Hearthstone production director Jason Chayes opened events with the Goblins Vs Gnomes reveal, and was kind enough to provide some details.
“For our first expansion, we’re going back to the beginning of Warcraft,” Chayes said, “to the long-time rivalry between two races.”
He also went on to say that Goblins vs Gnomes will have “over 120 of the most dangerous cards you can imagine.”
The cards share a theme of wild inventions created by both sides of the conflict. He gave us some examples, including the explosive sheep and the shielded “Annoy-o-tron.”
We have no exact release date for this expansion, we just know that Hearthstone fans can expect it sometime next month.
