Kingdom Hearts Unchained x, the first KH game for iOS and Android, is making it’s way to North America on April 7.
The game, which released in Japan last year, touches on the earliest days of the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
KH Unchained X is a free to play RPG and is actually set in the days before the legendary Keyblade War and will star a keyblade wielder created by the player.
Square notes on their official blog, Unchained X does tie in with the rest of the series, especially the ones in the upcoming KH HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. It will also connect to the highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts 3.
However, Tetsuya Nomura has said that he hopes the game can be enjoyed by those who might not be super familiar with the lore of Kingdom Hearts.
“I would love for people who have not yet played Kingdom Hearts to take this opportunity to casually jump right in with a blank slate.”
