May 2104 Sales Figures

The sales numbers are in for the month of May 2014 and PS4 is sitting pretty at the top. Sony’s PS4 has been atop the hardware sales chart in the US for 5 consecutive months, NPD group reported. The Hardware sales overall were up 95% to $187 million , attributing most sales to the PS4 and Xbox One, with Vita and WII U sales up as well since last year.
According to NPD analyst Liam Callahan the hardware bundles really helped to bolster sales of both the Wii U and the PS Vita. For Nintendo there was the Mario Kart 8 bundle and for the PS Vita the Boarderlands 2 bundle helped.
