May 2104 Sales Figures
The sales numbers are in for the month of May 2014 and PS4 is sitting pretty at the top. Sony’s PS4 has been atop the hardware sales chart in the US for 5 consecutive months, NPD group reported. The Hardware sales overall were up 95% to $187 million , attributing most sales to the PS4 and Xbox One, with Vita and WII U sales up as well since last year.
According to NPD analyst Liam Callahan the hardware bundles really helped to bolster sales of both the Wii U and the PS Vita. For Nintendo there was the Mario Kart 8 bundle and for the PS Vita the Boarderlands 2 bundle helped.
Software sales also have increased 57% since this time last year to $274 million. This increase in sales breaks a six month decline. The top sales for the month of May are as Follows:

2. Mario Kart 8 (NWU)
3. MLB 14: The Show (PS4, PS3, PSV)
4. Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4, XBO, 360, PS3, PC)
5. Minecraft (360, PS3)
6. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (360, PS3, PS4, XBO, 3DS, NWU)
7. NBA 2K14 (360, PS4. PS3, XBO, PC)
8. Titanfall (360, XBO, PC)
9. Kirby: Triple Deluxe (3DS)
10. Call Of Duty: Ghosts (360, PS4, PS3, XBO, PC, NWU)
What has helped keep sony at the top of the list you may wonder? Well the only real exclusive game on the list of the May best sellers is MLB 14: The Show. MLB 14: The Show is the only baseball game on the market and the best selling sports game of May. PS4 was the leading console for Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
