THQ has released some rather juicy screenshots for the upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth.
The game is currently in development by Obsidian Studios, whom you probably know of thanks to them being the studio behind such titles as Fallout: New Vegas and Dungeon Siege III. The South Park RPG is set to release on March 5, 2013 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. THQ is also offering some DLC as a pre-order incentive.
This DLC will be the ‘Good Times with Weapons Pack’ and will add new weapons, as well as some costumes that are based on “the most popular episodes of all time”. Interesting. The pack includes the ‘Bulrog Chicken Attack’, which turns your enemy into a chicken, ‘Cartman’s Kick-Ass Sai’ and a Samurai costume.
Xbox 360 users in particular will get some exclusive treats for pre-ordering, as their pre-orders will get The Mysterion Superhero Pack’, which includes a superhero costume, Mysterion Special Attack and also, the Dagger of Cthulu.
Three standalone episodes will also be released as DLC for the Xbox 360 on a timed exclusive basis, “featuring their own stories, taking you to places in South Park you’ve never been before.”
