A new batch of screenshots for CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt have just been released, further showing off some pretty stunning graphics.
CD Projekt RED also revealed a ton of news and details about The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt a while ago, which is due out 2014 on PS4 and PC. The Witcher 3 is going to have about 50 hours worth of main story gameplay, and will be more like 100 hours if you include all of the side quests included in the massive open world. The player will be free to explore the open world as much as they want, and there will be no invisible walls / barriers stopping you from going to any area of the game. Monsters will not level with you, though, so if you fight an enemy much higher level than you, then prepare to be trounced.
Geralt will be more agile this time around, with him being able to jump and climb. There will also be no QTE s at all in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, which is a huge relief. Hunting and crafting mechanics have also been added into the game, and will be a large source of income for the player. There will be horse and boat travel, as well as fast travel to already discovered areas.
Less happily, you will not gain XP from killing monsters / enemies outside of quests (side or main), so there will be no XP grinding available unless you are taking part in a questline. The game will also include a tutorial upon release, unlike The Witcher 2.
