Despite the Wii U’s release looming and the 3DS sales increasing somewhat, Nintendo aren’t bucking one trend: Losing substantial sums of money.
IGN are reporting that the company has lost a staggering $530 million, but that it’s vowing to make the cash back with the Wii U and the 3DS. One of those reasons are lower than expected hardware sales figures, (for example, the 3DS sold approximately 500K fewer than predicted).
What do you guys think? Do you think the Wii U will help to turn the tide of Nintendo’s bad fortune when combined with the 3DS?
