The lucky few who were able to get into the closed beta for Overwatch have undoubtedly been jonesing for it since Blizzard took it down in December.
But finally, Blizzard have announced that it will be returning next week on February 9 in Europe and the Americas.
As you probably know, Overwatch was supposed to be coming back last month, but it was delayed so Blizzard could make improvements.
One of the improvements that they made to the game is a new game mode, so it will hopefully be worth the wait.
Sadly, Blizzard didn’t deign to tell us what the new game mode actually is, but did make an announcement about what the new closed beta will include.
- An all-new progression system
- Two new maps, including a new game mode
- Several hero balance updates
- And a variety of Private Game updates, including full A.I. matches
Anyone lucky enough to be invited to Overwatch’s closed beta previously will be invited back, and Blizzard will be inviting some fresh blood into the mix.
