There are several mysteries still surrounding Sony’s new Playstation 4, but the look of the console is perhaps the one that is most mysterious.
According to a recently released trailer, we might not have that long to wait. Sony have released a trailer, teasing that the Playstation 4 will be shown off at the E3 press conference event next month. There is a small piece of accompanying text “Watch our world exclusive teaser video and See it First at E3 June 10th 2013. Make sure you are the first to see it first. Sign up: http://eu.playstation.com/PS4.”
While I agree the trailer doesn’t reveal that much, mostly just a few shapes – we can tell that it looks fairly sleek and black. There are several grills and various patterns on the system, but the images are so zoomed that it makes getting an overall understanding of anything close to impossible. Sony have obviously been keen to “hold something back” due to Microsoft’s soon to be unveiled next generation Xbox (the event will be streaming tomorrow May 21st, at 6PM UK time). Plus, Microsoft have promised a lot of activity at E3 also.
Sony no doubt are going to do their best to keep a few surprises in store – they will want to not only keep the hype train of the PS4 going, but also leave a few mysteries to be unveiled. Both the PS4 and next generation XBox will likely be fighting it out for your cash this Christmas – and there’s one thing that is for sure – both companies are going to be pulling some late nights at the office to ensure that their event is the best that they can make.
