As I discussed in a recent video, Capcom has revealed Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition, a new and improved version for the PC. They also released some screenshots.
Most of the details on the changes made, (which obviously include updated graphics and textures) are all covered within my video, which is linked above. The price is also discussed there, but it’s actually something I wanted to touch on a bit more here, before I share the screens.
Capcom has confirmed a price of $19.99/€19.99/£14.99, and I think that price may be an issue for some people. While this version will no doubt be better, with tweaks for Steam, and will (hopefully) be a better port than the original, we are still talking about quite an old game here. The original RE 4 came out in 2005. So we’re still talking about paying a pretty high price here… as much as I love Resident Evil 4, I don’t know if I would pay that much for a game I still own the disc for on my PS2.
Let me know your thoughts, even on the videos’ comments, or on our Facebook/Twitter pages.
