A next gen Sonic game may be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and the Wii U, of a display at the Jazwares booth during last week’s Nuremberg Toy Fair is to be believed.
This sign, which is shown in the image below, was spotted by Spindash and then reposted by Sonic Stadium, shows what would be the fourth SEGA developed Sonic game currently in development.
Now, last year SEGA did announce that they would be having three Sonic games coming out that would be exclusive to Nintendo platforms, so basically it comes down to two possibilities: either a fourth title has joined them, or one of those Sonic titles has lost it’s exclusivity and will be coming to the Xbox One and PS4. Given what has happened before with Rayman Legends, it certainly seems a very real and more likely possibility that the latter has happened.
It’s tough to say either way, either of them are very possible. I am unsure on which side to place my bets, but I will say that I hope this next gen Sonic title is more in the Sonic Generations vein, which was the first good Sonic game in years.
