Bandai Namco has made a rather lovely announcement, that both of the Sword Art Online games will be making their way to the west.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably already a fan of SAO and don’t need me to tell you that the game will be based off the anime/manga, which is in itself set within a MMORPG. What you may not know, however, is the setting of the two separate games.
Hollow Fragment is set in Aincrad, and will feature Kirito battling his way through the game in order to escape, and will also be a PS4 port of the Vita version.
As for Lost Song, it will be set in Alfheim Online, where the characters’ avatars are fairies – so lots of lovely aerial gameplay!
As for release dates of both games, Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment will have a digital only release this summer on PS4. Sword Art Online Lost Song, though, will be coming out on both PS4 and PS Vita this autumn.
It’s a good time for both SAO and JRPG fans!
