Telltale Games’ rather excellent point and click style horror, The Walking Dead, has now had it’s first episodic release hit the iPhone and iPad.
As I’m sure most of you know, Telltale’s game is based on the original comic books rather than the popular TV series of the same name and has the player trying to survive the zombie apocalypse in a rather unique episodic fashion where your decisions will directly impact the game’s content. The game focuses on the interaction of the characters and the interacting conflicts, plus the strain of their dire situation, rather than focusing on the tired story of a zombie apocalypse.
The more slow paced point and click style gameplay should feel right home on the touch screen devices, and the rather awesome comic book, cell shaded graphics will still look good even after the downgrade to a mobile device.
The iOS version is only compatible with iPhone 4 or newer, and iPad 2 or newer. The first episode is $4.99 on iTunes.
