Today’s Deals on Steam’s Summer Sale for July 13 aren’t bad at all
With a few cherry picks and a few that certainly aren’t bad at all.
Tribes Ascend Starter Pack -75% (now £3.74)
Not bad I guess, but I don’t think it’s worth it unless you’re either just getting into Tribes or heavily into it already. I think it’s the weakest deal by far today.
WarHammer 40K: Space Marines -75% (now £4.99)
As I said in the RGT channel on youtube, I LOVE how powerful you feel on this game. I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re into a bit of action. Well delivered dialogue and nice graphics too.
Anno: 2070: -50% (now £14.99)
A pretty decent release, and if you’re into the whole building a city it’s not a shabby way to spend the money. It’s also one of the more recent titles and more to the point, looks pretty. Fairly deep too, should keep fans of the genre more than pleased.
Max Payne 3 -50% (now £14.99)
Not a bad price at all considering how recently this was released, more to the point, it’s a damn good game. Looks pretty (even in DX9 mode) and also runs well with DX11 and everything turned on max, well optimized if you will. Voice acting and story are as good as you’d expect, and certainly you won’t feel let down by this one. Great chance to get it.
The Binding of Isaac: -75% (now £0.99)
Every now and then I say a game is strange or odd, and this is one of those games. It’s certainly one of the more disturbing gaming concepts that I’ve heard of, and the bosses / enemies are ‘unique’. I will say that the music is pretty fantastic. Should you get it? I’d say yes, assuming you can deal with the oddness.
Payday: The Heist -75% (now £3.74)
Pretty interesting in that you go in as the role of the bank robbers, this is a FPS with a bit of a twist., The graphics aren’t amazing in my opinion, but it certainly doesn’t look that bad. It wasn’t hugely expensive to begin with, but at this price it might be worth a few of you giving into it’s demands and coughing up your cash.
Sonic Generations: -66% (now £6.79)
A friend of mine had a running joke for a while (at least, I considered it to be so), where he’d continually buy Sonic games, and in the run up to doing so tell me how awesome this next one would be, and then he’d feel silly and I’d be disappointed and being wrong at yet another terrible Sonic. This ISN’T the case for this Sonic game, I’d HIGHLY recommend it to even the most jaded of Sonic fans. I really like it, the 2d more than the 3d sections, but overall I can’t complain about it one little bit.
Indie Bundle II -75% (now £6.99)
It’s almost worth buying this collection for the Universe Sandbox alone, although Amata did cover Botanicula on our channel too. I think this is a no brainer to buy all of the games if you’re interested in any of them, as the price difference is so small (with the exception of E.Y.E).
From Dust -75% (now £2.99)
A god game, the graphics are pretty and you’ve control over elements allowing you to re-shape the surface. I really want another populous, and if you do too, this ain’t it… but isn’t a million miles away. It reviews fairly well, and for the price you could be worse served.
