Diablo 3 might be expecting its expansion soon, but if you’ve not tried out Runic Games’ action-roleplaying game, Torchlight 2 yet, you’re missing out. Torchlight 2 follows many of the same principals of Blizzard’s Diablo 3, and in many ways, does certain things better. Like for instance – allowing community mods.
Right now, Steam users can download the title for free until Sunday, January 12, 4 PM ET.
Not bad right? But it gets even better, you can currently pickup Forchlight 2 for 75 percent off on Steam, which means that it’ll cost you only $4.99, or £3.74. Should you so desire to play this with friends (the best way), you can also pickup a four-pack, also 75 percent off, making it $14.99. The original Torchlight is $3.74, which isn’t a bad price at all.
Torchlight 2 might be a little older now, being released in September 2012, but the game is huge. Not only is much of the content randomly generated, allowing for tons of replayability, but better yet there is a very active Steam Workshop community. This community adds freely downloadable classes, spells, dungeons, weapons and armor – among numerous other things. Check it out on Steam here.
