The Total War series is highly popular to say the least, and with Sega’s gloomy finances of late, it’s of little surprise they’re ready to release a sequel to one of the highest critically acclaimed games. Once again, they’re teaming with The Creative Assembly.
the last Total War: Rome was released around eight years ago now, which received a pretty damn impressive 92% on Metacritic.
Rob Bartholemew (the brands director), said this to the annoucement “In our 25th year of games development, it feels fitting to return to our most critically acclaimed era. There’s been a multi-generational leap in technology since the original game and we are ready to set another benchmark in gaming.”
The Creative Director wasn’t silent though, “From the immense reach of the sandbox campaign right down to the human-level drama of a single warrior on the battlefield, we’re aiming for an unprecedented level of detail and scale,” Mike Simpson added.
I’ve little doubt we’ll see a lot of stuff on this the course of it’s development, as always, keep on top of the news with RedGamingTech.
