As pretty much anyone who paid attention to this year’s E3 Conference will know, Ubisof’sWatch Dogsone of the events biggest surprises, and it looks like it is being primed to catch the eye of movie buffs as well as gamers and the gaming press.
It has recently come to light that Ubisoft has purchased numerous domain names, each one being a different variation of the URL www.watchdogsmovie.com. Obviously, you can’t take this as an announcement that there is a film being made, especially when the game in question isn’t even out yet. This is much more likely to be Ubisoft being both cautious and optimistic by purchasing the domains, just in case Watch Dogs is a runaway success.
If what we saw at E3 is anything to go by, I will be very surprised if Watch Dogs does not do very well indeed. Whether it will do well enough to catch the eye of a production company, well, we will just have to see…
