Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt – Release Date Revealed

CD Projekt Red have finally confirmed  the release date for The Witcher 3 The Wild Hunt, after much speculation over it’s release date.

The studio finally made this reveal during their pre-E3 press briefing, confirming that The Witcher 3 will launch on February 24, 2015. As well as this, they also said that the game is available for pre order, so you can throw your money at them right away, if you want. Or you can wait until you have watched the new trailer they released, which you can find below.

http://youtu.be/HtVdAasjOgUThere will be two editions of the physical retail version, but even the standard edition is looking very tasty. It will include the game (duh), the soundtrack, a world map, a compendium of the Witcher universe, some stickers and a protective sleeve.

The fancier Collector’s Edition will also feature all of these things, but you will also get a “33x24x26 cm (10″), 100% hand painted, Polystone figure of Geralt of Rivia battling a Griffin”, a Witcher medallion and a steelbook box.

If you want to get your game DRM free, pre-ordering through GOG will net you some nice rewards if you own The Witcher and The Witcher 2, including a discount and two keys to the beta of The Witcher Adventure Game. It’s too bad I only have The Witcher 2 on GOG, and The Witcher original on Steam…
