Although the Xbox One has been confirmed to be out in India until the end of 2014, it is now listed by an online retailer.
While the Playstation 4 is coming out with quite a headstart in India, (January 6th, to be exact), the Xbox One is confirmed to be out in India at the end of 2014. Despite this, though, it has appeared on the online retailer Snapdeal with a release date of March 2014. In terms of price, the PS4 is in the lead once more. The PS4 is currently listed for Rs. 39,990, where as the Xbox One has a price of Rs. 55,000 on Snapdeal.
I don’t know how accurate this pricing is, given the release date listed, but it still gives you a rough idea of the difference in pricing structure. It is entirely possible that this is the new revised release date listed on Snapdeal is actually the new official release date and they have leaked it by mistake. It would mean that the X1 would be coming out rather close to the release of the Playstation 4.
This might actually be a good thing, in a way, as giving Sony such a headstart doesn’t seem like such a good plan.
