Assassin’s Creed Unity | Ubisoft (Kind Of) Addresses PC Issues… For AMD Users

unity-oh-dear

Ubisoft have been fairly quiet (perhaps they were trying to shout but could not be heard over the waves of rage and disappointment) regarding the bungled launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity, but now they have spoken out on the PC version.

According to Ubisoft, the PC issues are occurring for setups using AMD CPU and GPU chipsets, despite reports to the contrary.

Here’s what they had to say:

“We are aware that the graphics performance of Assassin’s Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations.
This should not affect the vast majority of PC players.

“Rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available.”

As we all know though, not only are many different people with many different PC set ups reporting issues, frame rate drops and performance problems are being reported across the board on next gen consoles. There was a video showing off the games many glitches, but it seems to have vanished into the deafening silence from Ubisoft on the console versions.

Oh, Ubisoft, what happened to you? You used to be one of my favourite companies, and now look. At least I used to be able to say “but they always make good games”, but now not even this is true. Arno, I’m sorry.
