Bloodborne Hunters Edition for PC & PS5 Rumoured

The Bloodborne PC & PS5 remaster rumours just won’t quit as of late, with recent reports surfacing from 4Chan of a re-release titled Bloodborne: Endless Nocturne.

Now pretty much right on the heels of those rumours, fresh ones for a Bloodborne PC and Playstation 5 release have popped up. In this particular leak, apparently the title is Bloodborne: Hunter’s Edition. Not exactly the most imaginative title, as I’m sure you will agree.

This new leak also comes from 4Chan by a user by the name of Demonite. Demonite are a group of leakers who have been very accurate before, they leaked Bloodborne back when it was still Project Beast. There is one huge caveat to this, on 4Chan anyone can claim the name without verification. So we have no way of knowing if this is actually Demonite.

So as per usual with these kind of leaks, the usual serving of salt is required. With all the caveats out of the way though, Demonite claimed that we won’t see any new levels, however Cainhurst and Cathedral Ward will be expanded.

They had a bit more to share on weapons, though, as allegedly Bloodborne Hunter’s Edition will have several new weapons on offer.

  • Cosmic Revolver (Left Hand)
  • Impact Rifle – Double Barrel Shotgun (Left Hand)
  • The Great One’s Touch (Left Hand)
  • Cainhurts Flail (Right Hand)
  • Coldblood Coil (Right Hand)
  • Kos Placenta (Right Hand)

In terms of what improvements we will see to framerate and resolution, we will apparently see two modes for the PS5 version. One being quality mode, which runs at 30 FPS at native 4K with ray traced shadows and performance mode, which runs 60 FPS at 1440p upscaled to 4K with lower quality ray traced shadows.

There will also be a limited exclusivity period for the Playstation 5 version, with the PC release coming out 6-12 months after the PS5. Demonite also stated that the targeted release date for this will be January or February 2022.

Personally, that’s one of the bigger issues with this particular leak. From Software (and Sony) obviously know that a Bloodborne PC release (or just a verson running at 60 FPS) is hugely anticipated; would they really release it in the same period as Elden Ring?

Of course, we will have to wait and see how true these reports end up being.
