Publisher Deep Silver has officially opened sign ups for the closed beta of Dead Island Epidemic.
If you wish to join the closed beta, you can sign up for it via the game’s official website. If you are successful, you will be given early access to the DOTA-like game, as well as allowed membership into the discussion forum.
The upcoming Dead Island: Epidemic will be a Steam exclusive, and of course a free to play title. It is currently being described as a ZOMBA, or Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Adventure.
The game will allow up to 12 players, which will be split up into three teams of four. Each team is tasked with battle not only the rival players, but also the hordes of zombies wandering around the island map in order to be declared winner.
It has also been confirmed that it will include a crafting system, which will allow you to create your own customised weapons.
Deep Silver has said that, “There will be hundreds of weapons, trinkets and items that players can craft, and once crafted, these weapons can continue to be improved to fully suit a player’s personality and play style”.
At the moment there is no information on when the closed beta will actually begin, or when the finished game is actually due for release.
