Pitfall Remake Incoming

Pitfall remake coming to mobile devices.

The UK based studio, Activision Leeds, has made a very interesting confirmation. Supposedly, it’s first game is going to be a Pitfall remake.

Martyn Brown of Activision confirmed that the Leeds team, who may just be the developer for the Call of Duty mobile games, is apparently already hard at working remaking the classic Pitfall for mobile devices and that all that is left is to implement a few “finishing touches”.

“The first game we are making is in fact Pitfall, which is 30 years old this year,” Brown told MCV.

“We’ve been working on Pitfall since earlier in the year when we set up and it has been really good to revisit that and bring it to a modern audience.”

Brown did also make a few allusions to the studio looking at working on a wide range of Activision properties in the future.

“Being able to call upon a wide portfolio of properties is really good for us and we are looking forward to finally showing it to more people.”

It will be very interesting to see what they have done to this video gaming legend, and see how it has stood the test of time, and also a port to mobile devices. I, for one, will be checking the Pitfall remake out.
