We all remember back in January, at Sony’s first ever stand-alone event, with hopes raised and just as quickly dropped in disappointment when we thought we were going to be getting a remake for Final Fantasy 7, but instead we were “treated” to a remastered version coming to PS4. a remaster which has been available on Steam for several years now. Let’s just say that Sony had a lot of making up to do….and you know what, I think they just did.
During E3’s press conferment Sony announced that Final Fantasy 7 will be completely remade from scratch and backing that up with a very awesome trailer! I will link the trailer below.
Gotta say it’s the first time I have been excited for just a trailer and no actual gameplay for quite some time. It perfectly re-imagines the old world we know and love, to a perfect rework without losing its charm….that buster sword though!
Of course this is just a trailer, but I am so excited to see more of this in the near future.
This makes me thin k that maybe Sony planned to showcase this back in January but wasn’t ready, so instead they threw a remaster for mid this year would have to do. That or they hoped a remaster would get us more excited for a remake….i dont know, i just know they made a bad decision 🙂
